Members of the community are encouraged to participate in a public workshop to provide input on the Garden Grove City Council election district map for the 2020 Census redistricting process on Saturday, January 29, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

The City’s Garden Grove Teen Action Collaborative (GGTAC), in partnership with the Employment Development Department’s Youth Employment Opportunity Program (YEOP), invites local teens, ages 13-17, to attend a free Career Building Workshop Series, aimed at helping local youth

The City invites the community to attend a public workshop to provide input on the Garden Grove City Council election district map for the 2020 Census redistricting process.

The City of Garden Grove was awarded a $6,000,000 grant from the California Department of Parks and Recreation to help fund the revitalization and expansion of Woodbury Park, located at 13800 Rosita Place.

On Wednesday, October 27, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., the City’s H. Louis Lake Senior Center will host the Haunted Halloween Resource Fair, aimed at connecting seniors with health and wellness resources, programs, and services for older adults. The outdoor event will be held in front of the H.

On Tuesday, April 27, the City of Garden Grove dedicated the Garden Grove Medal of Honor Bike and Pedestrian Trail, and unveiled a commemorative plaque to celebrate the completion of the 1-mile multi-use path.

On Saturday, November 14, 2020, at 11:00 a.m., the City will host a community meeting to discuss possible future renovations to Woodbury Park. Neighborhood residents and park users are invited to attend in-person or virtually.

Effective immediately through Tuesday, December 1, 2020, the Garden Grove Congressional Medal of Honor Bike and Pedestrian Trail, from Stanford Avenue to Brookhurst Street, will undergo improvements causing temporary closures. Closures will take place in four phases:

Beginning next Monday, June 8 through Friday, June 26, the City will host the Tree Art Contest social media challenge, inviting friends and followers of @gardengrovecityhall Facebook page to vote

The submission deadline to participate in the Urban Forest Management Plan (UFMP) Tree Art Contest has been extended to Thursday, June 4, 2020.
