Multi-family residents can now properly dispose of bulky items, such as appliances, E-waste, furniture, and similar large items for free through Republic Services’ free bulky item pickup program.

April is Distracted Driving Awareness Month, and the Garden Grove Police Department will be actively looking for drivers throughout the month who are in violation of the state’s hands-free cell phone law.

The Garden Grove Police Department will conduct a driving under the influence (DUI) Checkpoint on April 8, 2023, from 9:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. at an undisclosed location.

Chapman Avenue, from Springdale Street to Western Avenue, will undergo rehabilitation beginning Monday, March 27, 2023 through August 2023, causing temporary traffic delays.

This St. Patrick’s Day, the Garden Grove Police Department will be on alert for suspected impaired drivers and reminds the community to celebrate responsibly by not driving under the influence.

On March 17, 2023, the Garden Grove Police Department will visit local bars and restaurants to educate customers on the importance of monitoring how much they drink and to “Know Your Limit”. The “Know Your Limit” campaign will be from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. throughout the City of Garden Grove.
