The Garden Grove Police Department encourages the public to celebrate Cinco de Mayo responsibly by planning ahead and designating a sober driver. On Friday, May 5, 2023, from 4:00 p.m.

From Monday, May 8 through Sunday, May 21, 2023, the public is encouraged to vote for their favorite Garden Grove homes nominated during the home beautification program, Garden Grove Gems. To vote, visit the Garden Grove Gems webpage at ggcity.org/gems.

Garden Grove Unified School District high school students, grades 10th-12th, are invited to participate in the Foods of Garden Grove Social Media Challenge, a unique opportunity for local high school students to be featured on the Foods of Garden Grove social platforms.

Garden Grove residents graduating from any college or university this year are invited to attend the 2023 Garden Grove College Graduates’ Reception on Tuesday, May 23, 2023. All graduates will have the chance to win cash and prizes during the free event.

The Garden Grove Police Department’s 36th Annual “Call to Duty” Memorial, will take place on Thursday, May 18, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in front of the Garden Grove Police Headquarters, located at 11301 Acacia Parkway.

The community is invited to participate in an online survey to provide input on residential street parking conditions as part of a comprehensive parking study. Six focus neighborhoods were selected for the study to be used for future city planning.
