On Thursday, September 21, 2023, at 9:00 a.m., all Garden Grove residents and businesses with an active landline will receive a call to test the County’s regional mass notification system known as AlertOC.

The community is encouraged to attend the Garden Grove Planning Commission’s public hearing on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. to review and recommend forwarding proposed updates to the adopted Housing Element to the Garden Grove City Council.

The City of Garden Grove’s Public Works Department will be hosting a public workshop to discuss the results of a water rate study and a proposed water rate increase. The workshop takes place on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 from 6:00 p.m.

September is Pedestrian Safety Month in California. The Garden Grove Police Department encourages everyone on our roads to care for one another and keep pedestrians safe from crashes and injuries.

As the summer travel season wraps up, the Garden Grove Police Department reminds drivers to stay safe and be responsible by never driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.

Seniors are invited to attend the H. Louis Lake Senior Center’s Resource Fair and Vaccine Clinic on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., located at 11300 Stanford Avenue. Admission and parking are free.

On Saturday, September 30, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., the Garden Grove Sanitary District and Republic Services will host a shredding and community cleanup day at the H. Louis Lake Senior Center’s east parking lot, located at 11300 Stanford Avenue.
