Garden Grove Mayor Steve Jones will deliver his official address at the 2023 State of the City luncheon, hosted by the Garden Grove Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the City of Garden Grove. The event takes place on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, from 11:00 a.m.

The City of Garden Grove, in collaboration with the Garden Grove Unified School District (GGUSD), will transform Village Green Park into an outdoor, interactive art festival for the 5th Annual Art in the Park.

Garden Grove residents with property containing an accessory dwelling unit (ADUs) or those who are considering adding one are encouraged to take the City of Garden Grove’s online survey to share their experiences and provide their input.

The City of Garden Grove invites homeowners to start sprucing up their home’s front yards for Garden Grove Gems, a home beautification program that recognizes residents for their outstanding curb appeal efforts.

Garden Grove residents may receive up to 60 gallons of compost for free at the annual Compost Giveaway. The event takes place on Saturday, April 1, 2023, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., at the Garden Grove Municipal Service Center, located at 13802 Newhope Street.

On Saturday, March 11, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., the Garden Grove Sanitary District and Republic Services will host a community cleanup day, offering residents the opportunity to dispose of bulky items for free.

The Garden Grove City Council has chosen Assistant City Manager and Community and Economic Development Director Lisa L. Kim as Garden Grove’s next city manager.

Due to inclement weather, the Garden Grove Sanitary District and Republic Services regret to announce the postponement of the free bulky item drop-off event, scheduled for Saturday, February 25, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at Skylark Elementary, located at 11250 Mac Murray Street.

In observance of the Presidents Day holiday, Garden Grove City Hall and the H. Louis Lake Senior Center will be closed on Monday, February 20, 2023.
