Rescheduled Cleanup Activities at GKN Aerospace Confirmed, May Cause Temporary Odors

The City of Garden Grove is sharing the following information from the Orange County Health Care Agency (HCA) regarding rescheduled cleanup activities, temporary odors and air monitoring related to the hazardous materials incident at GKN Aerospace.

The planned removal of neutralized methyl methacrylate (MMA) from two storage tanks at GKN Aerospace is scheduled the week of June 29 through July 2.

NO Illegal Fireworks in Garden Grove - $1,000 Fine

The City of Garden Grove wishes everyone a fun, memorable, and safe Fourth of July celebration! If you're planning to enjoy fireworks, please remember that only California State Fire Marshal-approved Safe and Sane fireworks are legal and available for purchase locally.

Illegal and dangerous fireworks put lives, property, and neighborhoods at risk and can result in fines of up to $1,000.

This Independence Day, celebrate responsibly, look out for your neighbors, and help keep Garden Grove safe for everyone. Have a happy Fourth of July!
