In observance of the Christmas and New Year’s Day holidays from Thursday, December 25, 2025, to Thursday, January 1, 2026, the City of Garden Grove facilities and services listed below will adhere to the following schedules.

On Saturday, December 20, 2025, various streets in Garden Grove will be temporarily closed for the King Shocks Toy Drive community event. The streets surrounding the perimeter of King Shocks, located at 12472 Edison Way, will be closed from 3:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 20.

Garden Grove shoppers have until Thursday, December 18, to participate in the City of Garden Grove’s end-of-year Buy in Garden Grove (BiGG) campaign, Black Friday Goes BiGG, which offers chances to win $500, $250, a one-night stay at the Great Wolf Lodge Southern California, and a restaurant gift

From now through Thursday, December 18, 2025, the community can assist local youth and seniors in need during the holidays by supporting the City of Garden Grove’s 27th Annual Holiday Drive.

Santa Rita Avenue, between Winton Street and St. Mark Street will be closed on Friday, December 12, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. for the 11th annual Jingle Jam holiday event. There will also be no parking on Vanguard Avenue, between Winton Street and St. Mark Street.

The Winter and Spring 2026 Garden Grove Parks and Recreation Guide is now available for viewing at ggparksandrec.com. The guide provides a multitude of programs, classes, activities, and special events through Thursday, April 30, 2026.

The City of Garden Grove announces that applications are now open for the Home Repair Program, providing new funding for eligible homeowners. Homeowners can apply for the Home Repair Program from Dec. 1, 2025, through Dec. 15, 2025.

The City of Garden Grove will open a new round of funding for its Home Repair Program on Monday, December 1, 2025, offering grants of up to $5,000 to qualified low-income Garden Grove homeowners for minor home improvements. The grants do not need to be repaid to the City.

In observance of the Thanksgiving holiday, Garden Grove City Hall and the H. Louis Lake Senior Center will be closed on Thursday, November 27, 2025, and Friday, November 28, 2025.

Shoppers who spend $50 or more in Garden Grove from Black Friday, November 28, through Thursday, December 18, will have the opportunity to enter a drawing for a $500 or $250 cash prize, a one-night stay at the Great Wolf Lodge, or a restaurant gift certificate, as part of the City’s annual Black
