Shoppers who spend $50 or more in Garden Grove, from Black Friday, November 29 through Thursday, December 19, can enter a drawing to win a $500 or $250 cash prize, a 1-night stay at the Great Wolf Lodge, or a restaurant gift card, during the City’s end-of-year Black Friday Goes BiGG campaign.

From now through Thursday, December 12, 2024, the community can assist local youth and seniors in need during the holidays by donating new and unwrapped toys, board games, sports equipment, gift cards, and other essential supplies to the City of Garden Grove’s 26th Annual Holiday Drive.

The City of Garden Grove announces the launch of a new, free online business tool, known as Garden Grove Business Analytics Insights, to provide business intelligence and market research analysis to entrepreneurs, start-ups, and existing businesses seeking to better understand the local market.

The City announces the launch of the Garden Grove MicroBiz Program, which provides technical and financial assistance to local small businesses looking to improve and expand operations.

At the Tuesday, November 12, 2024 regular meeting of the Garden Grove City Council, the city council adopted an ordinance to ban camping in public places and interfering with public access. The ordinance takes effect on Thursday, December 12, 2024.

In observance of the Thanksgiving holiday, Garden Grove City Hall and the H. Louis Lake Senior Center will be closed on Thursday, November 28, 2024. City Hall will also be closed on Friday, November 29, 2024 due to the regular alternate Friday closure.

On November 22, the Garden Grove Police Department will conduct a California driver’s license and driving under the influence (DUI) Checkpoint from 9:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. at an undisclosed location within the city of Garden Grove.

Enjoy holiday sights, sounds, and festivities at Garden Grove’s annual Winter in the Grove community event on Saturday, December 7, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., in Village Green Park, located at 12732 Main Street. Entry to the event is free.

In observance of the Veterans Day holiday, Garden Grove City Hall and the H. Louis Lake Senior Center will be closed on Monday, November 11, 2024. No street sweeping services will be provided on the holiday. Streets will be swept as scheduled on all other days.

As Halloween approaches, ghosts and goblins of all ages are getting ready to head out for trick-or-treating fun. To make sure the holiday stays as safe as it is spooky, the Garden Grove Police Department has put together a set of safety tips for parents, kids, and drivers.
