The City of Garden Grove celebrated the reopening of Woodbury Park on Saturday, August 29, welcoming several hundred community members throughout the day to experience the newly renovated park during a free community celebration.

Due to high temperatures, the City of Garden Grove will open a public cooling center on Tuesday, September 8, through Wednesday, September 9, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The cooling center is located at the Garden Grove Sports and Recreation Center, 13641 Deodara Drive, in Garden Grove Park.

After more than 30 years in public service, including more than a decade with the City of Garden Grove, City Manager Lisa Kim has announced her retirement. Her last day with the City will be November 2, 2026. Ms.
