Heavy Traffic and Road Closures Memorial Day Weekend

Beginning Friday, May 23 through Monday, May 26, 2025, the 65th Annual Garden Grove Strawberry Festival will take place at Village Green Park, located at 12732 Main Street. During the 4-day event, heavy traffic is anticipated in the immediate area.

City Hall Closed, No Street Sweeping on Memorial Day

In observance of the Memorial Day holiday, Garden Grove City Hall and the H. Louis Lake Senior Center will be closed on Monday, May 26, 2025. Street sweeping services will not be provided on the holiday and will resume the next day.

Upcoming Changes to Planning and Building Fees

Effective Tuesday, July 1, 2025, the City of Garden Grove will implement an updated schedule for planning and building fees. The updated fees will apply to all permit applications submitted on or after this date.

Bulky Items, Household Batteries Drop Off and Paper Shredding Free at May 17 Event

The City of Garden Grove and Garden Grove Sanitary District, in collaboration with Republic Services, will host a community cleanup day, offering residents the opportunity to dispose of bulky items, recycle household batteries, and obtain paper shredding services for free.

Register Today for a Summer of Fun at Camp Grove

Registration is now open for the 2025 “Camp Grove: Fun Under the Sun” summer program for Garden Grove youth ages 5 to 12. The nine-week program runs June 9 through August 8, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., at Edgar Park, located at 12781 Topaz Street.
