People and businesses affected by the May evacuation can receive in-person help with GKN Aerospace’s (GKN) claims program beginning Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2026, at a claims support center in Los Alamitos.

“Our community members should not miss out on compensation because they need support completing an application,” said Garden Grove Mayor Stephanie Klopfenstein. “Recovery requires prompt payment of approved claims and GKN’s full implementation of the court-approved safety plan.”

The support center, located at 4281 Katella Ave., Suite 100, will be open Monday through Friday, noon to 8 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome beginning Nov. 10, and no appointment is required.
