Seniors are invited to attend the City of Garden Grove’s H. Louis Lake Senior Center’s Haunted Halloween Resource Fair, on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., located at 11300 Stanford Avenue.

The community is invited to attend the City of Garden Grove’s Halloween-themed community event, Jack O’ Lantern Jamboree, on Saturday, October 22, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Atlantis Play Center, located in Garden Grove Park, at 13630 Atlantis Way.

The City of Garden Grove is seeking boutique crafters/vendors for the Winter in the Grove event, on Saturday, December 3, 2022, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Village Green Park, located at 12732 Main Street.

The City of Garden Grove’s Office of Economic Development has been awarded accreditation by the International Economic Development Council (IEDC), to become the only Accredited Economic Development Organization (AEDO) in California, and one of 69 internationally.

During National Child Passenger Safety Week, the Garden Grove Police Department will help parents and caregivers with installing child safety seats by providing a Child Seat Check Day on Wednesday, September 28 at the Garden Grove Police Department, 11300 Acacia Parkway, from 9:00 a.m.

Furthering the City of Garden Grove’s “Re:Imagine Garden Grove” efforts, Historic Main Street, between Acacia Parkway and Garden Grove Boulevard, is undergoing a 4-month enhancement project, with a tentative completion in November 2022.

September is Pedestrian Safety Month, and the Garden Grove Police Department is participating in activities throughout the month to encourage the safety of people walking.

Beginning on Monday, September 12, 2022 through May 2023, tentatively, several Garden Grove streets will undergo rehabilitation causing temporary traffic delays. Streets under construction are:

Garden Grove teens, ages 13-17, are invited to join the City of Garden Grove’s Teen Action Collaborative (GGTAC), a leadership program empowering teens to become future mentors and leaders in the community.
