On Saturday, February 15, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., or until supplies run out, the City of Garden Grove and Republic Services will host the annual Compost Giveaway, offering residents up to six bags of nutrient-rich compost for free.

Last night, the City’s water system experienced a high volume of sand infiltration at a well site affecting the lower east side of Garden Grove.

The City of Garden Grove invites homeowners to start sprucing up their home’s front yards for Garden Grove Gems, a home beautification program that recognizes residents for their home’s outstanding curb appeal.

On Saturday, February 8, 2025, from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., various streets in Garden Grove will be closed for the West Garden Grove Youth Baseball Opening Day parade.

Beginning Friday, January 31, 2025 through Sunday, February 2, 2025, the Tet Festival will take place in Garden Grove Park, located at 9301 Westminster Blvd. During the three-day festival, limited road access, and additional pedestrian and car traffic is anticipated in the immediate area.

On Friday, January 24, 2025 at 9:00 p.m., Historic Main Street will close and remain closed through 9:00 a.m. on Monday, January 27, 2025, for the Flower Street event. Parking on Historic Main Street will be restricted during that time.

In observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday, Garden Grove City Hall and the H. Louis Lake Senior Center will be closed on Monday, January 20, 2025. Street sweeping services will not be provided on the holiday, and will resume the next day. Trash pick-up will not be interrupted.
