The City of Garden Grove has updated its First-Time Home Buyer Program that provides no-interest loans to income-eligible homebuyers looking to purchase a home in Garden Grove.

The City of Garden Grove closes out its 2024 Outdoor Movie Series with a free showing of “Grease,” on Friday, August 9, 2024, on Historic Main Street, from Garden Grove Boulevard to Acacia Parkway. Historic Main Street will be closed for the Friday Night Car Show, from 4:00 p.m.

The City of Garden Grove re-launches its “Foods of Garden Grove” initiative, highlighting over 100 of Garden Grove’s most acclaimed and customer-favored international food and drink establishments.

The community is invited to join the Garden Grove Police Department (GGPD) at the annual National Night Out, a free community-building event featuring family activities, giveaways, live demonstrations, and raffle prizes on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The City of Garden Grove will take part in the “Advancing Homeownership” fair, hosted by Wells Fargo, this Saturday, July 20, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at Santa Ana College, Johnson Student Center Conference Room JSC-219, located at 1530 W. 17th Street, Santa Ana, 92706.

The City of Garden Grove will host an open house on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., to update the community on the Garden Grove Civic Center Revitalization Project. The open house will be held at the Garden Grove Courtyard Center, located at 12732 Main Street.

From Friday, July 12, 2024 through Saturday, July 13, 2024, the annual Marian Days event will take place at the Christ Cathedral, located at 13280 Chapman Avenue. During the 2-day event, heavy traffic is anticipated in the immediate area.

On Saturday, July 20, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., the City of Garden Grove and Garden Grove Sanitary District, in collaboration with Republic Services, will host a community cleanup day, offering residents the opportunity to dispose of bulky items for free.

As the new school year approaches, the City of Garden Grove’s family resource centers invite the community to participate in the Back to School Drive, a program designed to equip local students in need with the resources to help them succeed at school.

The application deadline to serve as a non-compensated commissioner on the Garden Grove Planning Commission is this Friday, July 5, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. Applicants must be and remain a Garden Grove resident and a registered voter until the term expires in December 2024.
