Phishing Scam Alert - Planning & Zoning Permits

The City is warning residents, property owners and applicants about fraudulent emails impersonating City officials regarding planning and zoning permits. These emails may cite real property addresses, permit numbers and official names while requesting payment via wire transfer, cryptocurrency or payment apps.


The City of Garden Grove will never ask you to wire money. Official emails come only from @ggcity.org addresses. If you receive a suspicious email, do not reply, click links or send payment.

About Planning Services

The Planning Services Division administers the City’s zoning and land use codes. The Planning Services Division helps residents and business owners create a positive environment while preserving and enhancing the appearance of the City.

About Building & Safety

The Building & Safety Division administers and applies State and local building regulations. The Building & Safety Division upholds these standards to safeguard life, health, property, and public welfare. Through inspections and permitting, the Building & Safety Division regulates the design and construction of all buildings and structures within the City of Garden Grove.

About Code Enforcement

The Code Enforcement Division works cooperatively with the community to comply with the City’s municipal code. The mission of Code Enforcement is to work in partnership with residents and businesses to ensure, promote, and maintain a safe and inviting city.
