Senior Center Hosts Haunted Halloween Resource Fair
On Wednesday, October 27, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., the City’s H. Louis Lake Senior Center will host the Haunted Halloween Resource Fair, aimed at connecting seniors with health and wellness resources, programs, and services for older adults. The outdoor event will be held in front of the H. Louis Lake Senior Center, at 11300 Stanford Avenue. The event is free and open to seniors, age 55 and above.
Seniors are encouraged to dress up as they collect candy and treats from participating vendors, such as Alzheimer’s Orange County, CalOptima, Council on Aging Southern California, Office on Aging, and Santa Ana College School of Continuing Education. Attendees will have opportunities to win raffle prizes.
In addition, a vaccination clinic, hosted by the Office of Senator Tom Umberg, will provide COVID-19 vaccines and booster shots to qualified individuals. Booster shots are available for seniors, 65 years and older. Free flu shots are also available with ID and health insurance card. The COVID-19 vaccine and flu clinic will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
To register for a COVID-19 vaccine or flu shot, call (714) 558-3785.
To protect the health and safety of all, don’t attend if you have been sick or have been in contact with someone who is feeling sick or exhibiting flu-like symptoms.
