Applauding the curb appeal of Garden Grove homes is not a new idea – for over 40 years, the community’s best-kept houses were recognized by the City Council at the annual Garden Grove Pride Awards Ceremony.

In 2022, the City launched a revised home beautification program called, "Garden Grove Gems." This year's virtual competition once again spotlights the efforts of homeowners working hard to keep their neighborhoods looking gorgeous.

For the 2026 Gem's program, the nomination period will run from Wednesday, April 1, 2026 - Friday, April 24, 2026 and the voting period will run from Monday, May 4, 2026 - Monday, May 18, 2026.
