CDBG is an important tool for helping local governments tackle serious challenges facing their communities. The CDBG program has made a difference in the lives of millions of people and their communities across the Nation.

HOME Investment Partnerships Program Website
  • The HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) provides formula grants to states and localities that communities use - often in partnership with local nonprofit groups - to fund a wide range of activities including building, buying, and/or rehabilitating affordable housing for rent or homeownership or providing direct rental assistance to low-income people. HOME is the largest federal block grant to state and local governments designed exclusively to create affordable housing for low-income households.

Emergency Solutions Grants Website
  • The Emergency Solutions Grants Program is designed to assist homeless individuals and families, and subpopulations within this group, such as victims of domestic violence, youth, people with mental illness, families with children and veterans. Emergency Solutions Grants Program funds can also be used to aid people who are at imminent risk of becoming homeless.
