Thursday, December 14 is the last day to turn in receipts for the City of Garden Grove’s end-of-year Buy in Garden Grove (BiGG) campaign, Black Friday Goes BiGG, offering Garden Grove shoppers the opportunity to win $500, $250, a 1-night stay at the Great Wolf Lodge Southern California, and more.

The submission deadline for residents to submit photos of their home’s exterior holiday decorations to be posted in an online gallery called Garden Grove Holiday Lights 2023 has been extended to Thursday, December 14, at 4:00 p.m.

Friday, December 8, 2023, is the last day to participate in the City of Garden Grove’s 25th Annual Holiday Drive, which aims to bring holiday cheer to local disadvantaged youth and seniors.

On Friday, December 8, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Santa Rita Avenue, between Winton Street and St. Mark Street, will be closed for the annual Jingle Jam holiday event. There will also be no parking on Vanguard Avenue, between Winton Street and St. Mark Street.

Starting Friday, December 1, 2023, at 9:00 a.m., qualified low-income Garden Grove residents can apply for the City of Garden Grove’s Home Repair Program, which offers grant funding of up to $5,000 for minor home improvements. The grant does not need to be repaid.

The City of Garden Grove is seeking a qualified program operator to oversee the City’s Rental Assistance Program, providing supportive housing services to individuals who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

On Tuesday, November 28, 2023, the Garden Grove City Council and the Garden Grove Police Department will honor Garden Grove Police Corporal Han Cho with a plaque dedication and unveiling.
