This number links together services from several different agencies in Orange County, as an easier way for you to get information and resources.
The covid-19 testing site, located at Magnolia Park, at 11402 Magnolia Street, is permanently closed. Covid-19 testing is available near the City's H. Louis Lake Senior Center, at 11300 Stanford Avenue. Appointments are required and must be made online at covidclinic.org.
Parents and caregivers can now get their children 6 months through 5 years of age vaccinated with the Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna vaccines.
Apply for the Housing Is Key CA COVID-19 Rent Relief program, providing funds to low-income renters who suffered a loss of income or other financial hardship due to COVID-19. Eligible applicants seeking assistance must apply by Thursday, March 31, 2022, at housingiskey.com.
The County of Orange has launched the Orange County Microbusiness Grants program, providing $2,500 grants to qualified small businesses negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Application deadline is Tuesday, March 13, 2022.
The California Department of Public Health has extended the statewide indoor masking requirement through Tuesday, February 15, 2022. Masks must be worn in all indoor public places, regardless of vaccine status.
To protect the health and safety of visitors and employees in light of rising coronavirus cases, the H. Louis Lake Senior Center is temporarily closed. The Meals on Wheels food distribution will continue to operate.
The Buena Clinton Youth and Family Center and Magnolia Park Family Resource Center are temporarily under modified services.
Temporarily, the number of visitors to City Hall will be limited. All individuals entering the building must wear a face covering.
The California Department of Public Health issued a mandate requiring masks to be worn in all indoor public settings, regardless of vaccine status, from Wednesday, December 15, 2021 through Saturday, January 15, 2022.

Public health officials at the OC Health Care Agency (HCA) are encouraging residents to take adequate safety precautions in the wake of increasing COVID-19 cases in the county. Currently, there are no plans to implement a new mask mandate in Orange County; however, those who are not fully vaccinated must continue wearing a mask indoors in accordance with guidelines from the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) and are strongly encouraged to get vaccinated as soon as possible.
Individuals who have not yet been vaccinated are strongly encouraged to get vaccinated as soon as possible to protect themselves and their community.

Effective Wednesday, March 31, Orange County is in the Orange tier of the state’s Blueprint for a Safer Economy after having successfully achieved Orange tier metrics for two weeks.
If you lost someone due to COVID-19, FEMA will start providing financial assistance in April for funeral expenses incurred after January 20, 2020. To be eligible:
o The death must have happened in the U.S.
o The death certificate must indicate the reason was due to COVID-19.
o The applicant must be a U.S. citizen but the deceased person does not.
As a result, many local businesses and activities in Orange County will be allowed to expand capacity or resume operations.
Orange County Health Care Agency is opening a Garden Grove Health Equity POD on Wednesday, March 10
The state and county have released new guidance allowing outdoor, high contact and moderate contact youth sports to resume in Orange County with modifications. Outdoor sports include: football, soccer, baseball, cheerleading, and other outdoor sport competitions.
Currently, vaccinations are being provided only to the following prioritized groups: Phase 1A populations (all tiers) and Phase 1B (Tier 1) populations which includes: educators, food service, grocery and agriculture workers, child care providers, and emergency services. Effective immediately, the City of Garden Grove will extend the suspension of water shut-offs for non-payments and late fee charges until further notice.
The City is expanding its assistance to local businesses by waiving all fees to restaurants applying for temporary outdoor dining permits, with plans to also offer no-fee temporary outdoor permits to other business sectors when allowed by state health and safety guidelines.

Effective July 2, 2020, all bars are ordered closed in Orange County,
California due to the increasing number of COVID-19 cases.
As of July 1, the City will begin issuing normal late fees on water payments. Payments for delinquent accounts before June 30 will be accepted without penalty if paid by July 15.
Local businesses impacted by COVID-19 are invited to join an informational, multi-language ZOOM webinar, to apply for Garden Grove's small business resources and grants programs.
The types of businesses that will be able to resume operations include nail salons, facials, waxing, tattoo parlors, piercing shops, and massage therapy.
California Department of Public Health Release Guidance Requiring Californians to Wear Face Coverings in Most Settings Outside the Home
In Stage 2, the County of Orange will be allowed to have the following businesses re-open with adaptations: In-person dining reservations; retail shopping with social distancing and curbside pickup; manufacturing; offices (when telework not possible); outdoor museums; and limited services.
Restaurants can now apply to the City for 60-day outdoor dining permits to expand dining areas onto adjacent sidewalks within a shopping center or in privately-owned parking lots.
