City to Resume Street Sweeping Citations Following 2-Week Grace Period
Starting today, Monday, June 1, the City of Garden Grove will resume no- parking street sweeping enforcement by issuing warning flyers for the next two weeks. As of Monday, June 15, 2020, the City will begin issuing normal street sweeping citations. Late street sweeping citations will be accepted without penalty if paid by June 30, 2020.
The public is reminded to follow the posted no parking street sweeping schedules by moving their vehicles on the days and hours indicated to avoid receiving citations.
Recreational vehicles without valid parking permits will also be issued warning-only citations for the next two weeks. As of Monday, June 15, 2020, the City will begin issuing normal citations for recreational vehicles not having valid parking permits.
On March 17, 2020, the City of Garden Grove proclaimed a local emergency due to COVID-19, undertaking various relief actions that included the suspension of street sweeping and recreational vehicle citations until further notice.
