County Reminds Residents, Visitors to Remain Vigilant Against COVID-19

September 4, 2020

This Labor Day weekend, the community is strongly encouraged to continue practicing safeguards to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

If you choose to go out to see close friends and family outside of your household, or visit the beach or parks, protect yourself and those around you by following the County's health orders:

  • Avoid crowds and stay six feet apart from people not in your household.
  • Wear a face covering when you're around people not in your household. Weekend temperatures are expected to reach above 95 degrees Fahrenheit. It's important to continue wearing face coverings when leaving your home.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces.
  • If you have symptoms of COVID-19, get tested and stay home until you find out the results. Testing sites can be found at ggcity.org/coronavirus.
