Support Local Youth and Seniors By Donating to the 27th Annual Garden Grove Holiday Drive
From now through Thursday, December 18, 2025, the community can assist local youth and seniors in need during the holidays by supporting the City of Garden Grove’s 27th Annual Holiday Drive.
Donors are encouraged to give new and unwrapped toys, board games, sports equipment, gift cards and other essential supplies, which will be distributed to local youth and seniors in need. Donations can be dropped off at:
Santa Rita Avenue Closed December 12 for Jingle Jam Event
Santa Rita Avenue, between Winton Street and St. Mark Street will be closed on Friday, December 12, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. for the 11th annual Jingle Jam holiday event. There will also be no parking on Vanguard Avenue, between Winton Street and St. Mark Street. Motorists are asked to plan accordingly.
The Jingle Jam event will be held at Eastgate Park, 12001 St. Mark Street, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Residents in the area should expect an increase of pedestrian traffic during event hours. Residents have been notified in advance.
Winter and Spring Parks and Recreation Guide Offers Classes, Activities, Events
The Winter and Spring 2026 Garden Grove Parks and Recreation Guide is now available for viewing at ggparksandrec.com. The guide provides a multitude of programs, classes, activities, and special events through Thursday, April 30, 2026. Garden Grove’s Winter in the Grove is Coming!
Join us on Saturday, December 6th, from 3pm to 7pm at Village Green Park in Garden Grove for a festive holiday event that’s free for the whole family.
Enjoy snow, games, crafts, photo ops, live performances, and the lighting of the big Christmas tree. And of course, Santa and Mrs. Claus will be there too! Get into the spirit and experience the joy of Winter in the Grove. We can’t wait to see you there!
Funding Now Available for Home Repairs
The City of Garden Grove announces that applications are now open for the Home Repair Program, providing new funding for eligible homeowners. Homeowners can apply for the Home Repair Program from Dec. 1, 2025, through Dec. 15, 2025.
The Home Repair Program supports minor health, safety, and accessibility-related improvements. Homeowners must contribute at least $500 towards the project, and major repairs are not eligible. Projects that exceed the $5,000 grant amount may be considered on a case-by-case basis, depending on the homeowner’s ability to fund the remaining costs.

Funding Available for Home Repairs
The City of Garden Grove will open a new round of funding for its Home Repair Program on Monday, December 1, 2025, offering grants of up to $5,000 to qualified low-income Garden Grove homeowners for minor home improvements. The grants do not need to be repaid to the City.
