The City of Garden Grove and Garden Grove Sanitary District, in collaboration with Republic Services, will host a community cleanup day, offering residents the opportunity to dispose of bulky items, recycle household batteries, and obtain paper shredding services for free. The event takes place on Saturday, March 15, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at Skylark Elementary School, located at 11250 Mac Murray Street.
Hop Into Springtime Fun at Annual Eggscavation Family Event
Ring in the spring with a search for colorful treasures at Garden Grove’s annual “Eggscavation” event on Saturday, April 19, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., at Atlantis Play Center, located at 13630 Atlantis Way in Garden Grove Park. Ticket sales begin Tuesday, April 1, 2025 until quantities run out. Tickets may be purchased at ggcity.org/eggscavation or by calling (714) 741-5200. There will be no ticket sales at the door.
Prospective Home Buyers Invited to Free Homeownership Education & Literacy Event
The City of Garden Grove, in collaboration with USA Homeownership Foundation, Inc., and Wells Fargo, is hosting a free Homeownership Education & Literacy Program (H.E.L.P) Home Buyer Event on Saturday, March 22, 2025, from 8:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., in the Garden Grove Courtyard Center, at 12732 Main Street.

City Now Accepting Online Applications for Garden Grove Police Positions

City Hall Closed, No Street Sweeping On Presidents Day
In observance of the Presidents Day holiday, Garden Grove City Hall and the H. Louis Lake Senior Center will be closed on Monday, February 17, 2025. Street sweeping services will not be provided on the holiday and will resume the next day. Trash pick-up will remain as scheduled.

Free Compost Giveaway To Garden Grove Residents
On Saturday, February 15, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., or until supplies run out, the City of Garden Grove and Republic Services will host the annual Compost Giveaway, offering residents up to six bags of nutrient-rich compost for free. The event will be held at the Garden Grove Municipal Service Center, located at 13802 Newhope Street. The event is open to Garden Grove residents only. Proof of residency is required.
