August 13, 2026

The City of Garden Grove invites the community to attend the reopening celebration of Woodbury Park on Saturday, August 29, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at 13800 Rosita Place. The free event will feature a ribbon-cutting ceremony, interactive demonstrations, complimentary classes, family activities, themed giveaways, and free hot dogs, until supplies last. Following the ribbon-cutting ceremony, the entire park’s newly renovated amenities will be open for use.

The fully remodeled 3.8-acre park includes two jungle-themed playground areas for ages 2 to 5 and 5 to 12 with a variety of play equipment, including colorful play structures, a multi-person swing and seesaw, interactive activity panels, and musical sound elements. The park also features a recreational swimming pool, a pool house building, a skate plaza, basketball courts, a walking trail, outdoor fitness equipment, picnic shelters, a parking lot, and park lighting.
Parking for event attendees will be available at Woodbury Elementary School, located at 11362 Woodbury Road.

The park improvements were completed through the Woodbury Park Revitalization and Expansion Project, an initiative identified in the City’s Parks, Recreation & Facilities Master Plan. The $11 million project is funded in part by the 2018 Park Bond Act Statewide Park Development and Community Revitalization Grant.
