Street Rehabilitation Begins Aug. 13 in West Garden Grove
Beginning Thursday, Aug. 13, the City of Garden Grove, will conduct street repairs and resurfacing in West Garden Grove as part of the 2026 Various Streets Rehabilitation Project.
Pavement preparation and initial work are scheduled for Aug. 13-14, followed by chip seal work Aug. 17-18, and slurry seal Aug. 24-25. Concrete improvements will be scheduled for a later date.
Work will take place along the following streets:
- Alonzo Cook Street, from Anthony Avenue to the end of the cul-de-sac
- Adams Street, from Anthony Avenue to Cerulean Avenue
- Lenore Avenue, from Cerulean Avenue to Garnet Street
- Trinette Avenue, from Lenore Avenue to Topaz Street
- Garnet Street, from Trinette Avenue to Killarney Avenue
- Topaz Street, from Cerulean Avenue to Lampson Avenue
- Taylor Street, from Anthony Avenue to Cerulean Avenue
- Poplar Street, from Sylvan Street to Cerulean Avenue
Road surfaces will be temporarily rough during construction and will improve once the seal has been applied.
Residents will receive notice at least 48 hours before the slurry seal is applied. During that time, some streets may be temporarily closed to vehicle traffic. Motorists are asked to follow all posted parking restrictions and street closures.
