Senior Center Hosts Haunted Halloween Resource Fair
On Wednesday, October 27, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., the City’s H. Louis Lake Senior Center will host the Haunted Halloween Resource Fair, aimed at connecting seniors with health and wellness resources, programs, and services for older adults. The outdoor event will be held in front of the H. Louis Lake Senior Center, at 11300 Stanford Avenue. The event is free and open to seniors, age 55 and above.
Be Well OC in Garden Grove News Story 2021
The City of Garden Grove is partnering with a group called Be Well OC. The idea is to help those in need while freeing more Garden Grove Police Officers to do their work. A mobile response unit in a well equipped blue van helps people dealing with mental illness, addiction and homelessness. Two trained crisis counselors render aid, transfer a patient to a medical facility or provide resources to help the person and improve a situation. GGTV3 Reporter Mark Bedor attended a training session and shares this story.

National Take Back Initiative
The Garden Grove Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) will give the public an opportunity to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs. Pills can be disposed of at the Garden Grove Police Department. The DEA cannot accept liquids or needles or sharps, only pills or patches. The service is free and anonymous, with no questions asked.
