17th Annual Golf Classic

Hosted by the Garden Grove Chamber of Commerce and Garden Grove Community Foundation, the Golf Classic will include a tournament, silent auction, awards, dinner, and beverages. Golfers will be entered into an opportunity drawing to win a set of Apple SE watches. Cost is $150 per player.

The City of Garden Grove is full of fun and exciting things to do and see. We also care about the health of our residents and students. Recently Misha and Nellie, the Garden Grove Police Department's Canine Support Dogs were introduced to a packed house at Mitchell Elementary School. Don't miss this! Plus, the City once again closed streets to cars and held a big party downtown. Residents, businesses and visitors were able to get a glimpse into the future and see how Garden Grove could evolve over time. And, the Strawberry Festival is back!

Support Canine Program in Garden Grove

Canine Support Dogs Mischa and Nellie have a big job to do for the Garden Grove Police Department. They partner with School Resource Officers Patrick Julienne and Derek Link to calm people down, deescalate situations and bring smiles to faces that were previously sad or angry. The Support Canine Program is a collaboration between the Garden Grove Police Department and the Garden Grove Unified School District. Garden Grove State of the City 2022 Address by Mayor Steve Jones

This is the Garden Grove's State of the City presentation for 2022. The event was presented by the Garden Grove Chamber of Commerce to a live audience of over 400 at the Hyatt Regency Orange County. This year’s program themed, “Mind, Body, and Spirit of Community,” focused on the City’s efforts to ensure the community’s mental, physical, and economic wellbeing, while highlighting Garden Grove’s deep hometown spirit.

Focused Zoning Amendments - City Council Study Session

The community is encouraged to attend Garden Grove study sessions to learn about the proposed draft Focus Zoning Amendments relating to development standards for single-family residential, multi-family residential, mixed-use, supportive housing, and single room occupancy housing.

The Planning Commission Study Session is on Thursday, August 4, 2022 at 7:00 p.m., and the Garden Grove City Council Study Session is on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at 6:30 p.m. Both public meetings will be held at the Garden Grove Community Meeting Center, located at 11300 Stanford Avenue.
