In observance of the Veterans Day holiday, Garden Grove City Hall and the H. Louis Lake Senior Center will be closed on Monday, November 11, 2024. No street sweeping services will be provided on the holiday. Streets will be swept as scheduled on all other days.

As Halloween approaches, ghosts and goblins of all ages are getting ready to head out for trick-or-treating fun. To make sure the holiday stays as safe as it is spooky, the Garden Grove Police Department has put together a set of safety tips for parents, kids, and drivers.

On Saturday, November 9, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., the City of Garden Grove and Garden Grove Sanitary District, in collaboration with Republic Services, will host a final community cleanup event for 2024, offering residents the opportunity to dispose of bulky items for free.

The City of Garden Grove is seeking boutique crafters for the Winter in the Grove event, on Saturday, December 7, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Village Green Park, located at 12732 Main Street. Interested crafters must apply by Friday, November 8, 2024, at ggcity.org/winterinthegrove.

On Saturday, October 26, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the Garden Grove Police Department will participate in the Drug Enforcement Administration’s (DEA) National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.

The community is invited to attend the City of Garden Grove’s Halloween-themed community event, Jack O’ Lantern Jamboree on Saturday, October 26, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., at Atlantis Play Center, located in Garden Grove Park, at 13630 Atlantis Way.

The City’s Foods of Garden Grove Live event is this Friday, October 4, 2024, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in Village Green park, at 12732 Main Street in downtown Garden Grove.

On Friday, October 4, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., Historic Main Street, between Acacia Parkway and Stanford Avenue, will be closed to motorists for the City’s taste-of event, Foods of Garden Grove Live. Commuters are encouraged to plan accordingly to avoid delays.

The City of Garden Grove’s 2024 Homebuyer Day is only weeks away and potential homeowners interested in learning more about down payment assistance, understanding the home buying process, credit readiness, financing, and more are encouraged to RSVP today.
