The Garden Grove Police Department’s 38th Annual “Call to Duty” Memorial will take place on Thursday, May 15, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., in front of the Garden Grove Police Headquarters, located at 11301 Acacia Parkway.

On Thursday, May 22, 2025, from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., the City of Garden Grove’s H. Louis Lake Senior Center will host the 48th Annual Strawberry Ball, a celebration honoring the 2025 Strawberry Ball King and Queen.

The deadline for residents to nominate their front yard for Garden Grove Gems, the City of Garden Grove’s home beautification program, has been extended to Monday, April 28. From all the nominations received, four will be selected at random to receive $100 Home Depot gift cards.

Garden Grove residents graduating from a college or university this year are invited to submit their information for the annual Garden Grove College Graduates’ Reception on Tuesday, June 10, 2025. All attending graduates will be entered into opportunity drawings for cash prizes.

On Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., the City of Garden Grove and Republic Services will host the last Compost Giveaway for 2025. Residents can obtain up to six bags of nutrient-rich compost for free, until supplies run out.
