Garden Grove Loves CERT!

CERT is the Community Emergency Response Team. They help police, firefighters, first-responders and us when there is a disaster. This group trains when things are good, then volunteers during the worst of times. GGTV3 Reporter Mark Bedor attended a Garden Grove CERT training session and graduation. He files this report.

Garden Grove TV3 Holiday News Report: December 21, 2021

In the City of Garden Grove, holiday magic is all around us. From the Winter in the Grove event that brings snow, Santa and the lighting of the tree, to the H. Louis Lake Senior Center, where Garden Grove seniors pick up some warm and frozen holiday meals. We looked in on some elves wrapping and filling boxes for local families and Santa distributing some early Christmas presents to happy youngsters. We also stopped by Bracken's Kitchen to witness a huge end-of-year push to feed hungry people here and throughout the area.

Holiday Fun at Winter in the Grove!

Winter in the Grove is pure fun, and it's right here in Garden Grove! Bring the family and be ready to smile. The City of Garden Grove has combined Winterfest and the annual Tree Lighting events into one big party at Village Green Park. It all happens on Saturday, December 4th from 3pm to 7pm. Be Well OC in Garden Grove News Story 2021

The City of Garden Grove is partnering with a group called Be Well OC. The idea is to help those in need while freeing more Garden Grove Police Officers to do their work. A mobile response unit in a well equipped blue van helps people dealing with mental illness, addiction and homelessness. Two trained crisis counselors render aid, transfer a patient to a medical facility or provide resources to help the person and improve a situation. GGTV3 Reporter Mark Bedor attended a training session and shares this story.
