Matt brings many years of experience in city management, finance and community development to our City. He has served as interim Assistant City Manager since January 2024. 37th Annual "Call to Duty" Police Memorial in Garden Grove (2024)
The City of Garden Grove honors and will never forget six Officers who gave their lives protecting the City. Sergeant Myron L. Trapp, Officer Andy Reese, Officer Donald F. Reed, Officer Michael Rainford, Master Officer Howard Dallies Jr., and Lieutenant John Reynolds made the ultimate sacrifice. Hundreds of people came out to join the Garden Grove Police Department and the City honoring these men and their families.
