A reception was held for new Garden Grove Assistant City Manager, Matt West at the Community Meeting Center. Matt brings many years of experience in city management, finance and community development to our City. He has served as interim Assistant City Manager since January 2024. GGTV3 reporter Breanna Greenup was at the reception and has the story.

This is the Garden Grove's State of the City address delivered by Mayor Steve Jones on Thursday, April 11th. The event was presented by the Garden Grove Chamber of Commerce at the Hyatt Regency Orange County.

Steve Jones grew up in the City of Garden Grove. He decided to give back by, among other things, serving the City as Planning Commissioner, City Council Member and Mayor. During the last 25 year, his low key, energetic, no holds barred, visionary leadership has made a big impact on his home town, Garden Grove. You really have to watch the video to get the story.

The City of Garden Grove honors and will never forget six Officers who gave their lives protecting the City. Sergeant Myron L. Trapp, Officer Andy Reese, Officer Donald F. Reed, Officer Michael Rainford, Master Officer Howard Dallies Jr., and Lieutenant John Reynolds made the ultimate sacrifice. Hundreds of people came out to join the Garden Grove Police Department and the City honoring these men and their families.

Let's just say there are a lot of amazing things happening in the City of Garden Grove. We respect and learn from our past, work hard with passion and great leadership today, to make a better future for those who live, work and invest here. It's not just a new playground, big development, or respite for those less fortunate, it's an attitude of making something better every day.
