Garden Grove TV3 News Report: March 22, 2022
There's always something fun going on in the City of Garden Grove! The City is announcing the new, virtual home beautification contest called Garden Grove Gems. Plus, we are promoting our Open Streets event coming on Saturday, April 2. That's when we close the streets to cars and really have a party! GGTV3 Reporter Breanna Greenup shares a story about some Strawberry Festival directors and volunteers who bring the fun right to school for some deserving youngsters.
Ensuring Water Quality in Garden Grove
The City of Garden Grove and the Orange County Water District care about your health. When the State of California determined that the water in Garden Grove and other neighboring cities contained certain amounts of chemicals called PFAS, City and County officials took action. Now elaborate equipment has been installed to remove these PFAS chemicals from Garden Grove water. It can be complicated but GGTV3 Reporter Breanna Greenup explains a little about what these chemicals are and how the City and County are working together to get them out of Garden Grove's water.
NO Illegal Fireworks in Garden Grove
The City of Garden Grove wants you and your family to have a great 4th of July, but they want you and your neighbors to be safe. If you have a fireworks celebration, use the safe and sane variety which are approved by the California State Fire Marshal and are for sale locally. Please don't use dangerous unapproved fireworks. If you do, you could receive a $1,000 fine. This mission is possible Garden Grove, have fun and be safe! Special thanks to TNT Fireworks.
