City of Garden Grove Reception for New Assistant City Manager Matt West

A reception was held for new Garden Grove Assistant City Manager, Matt West at the Community Meeting Center. Matt brings many years of experience in city management, finance and community development to our City. He has served as interim Assistant City Manager since January 2024. City Re-Launches ‘Foods of Garden Grove’ Program Showcasing City's Best Global Cuisines

The City of Garden Grove re-launches its “Foods of Garden Grove” initiative, highlighting over 100 of Garden Grove’s most acclaimed and customer-favored international food and drink establishments. The initiative, furthering the City’s efforts to support its small-business community and championed by Garden Grove Mayor Steve Jones, offers a virtual food tour from the City’s recognized ethnic enclaves, including Garden Grove’s Little Saigon and Orange County’s Koreatown, as well as Latin eateries, local favorites, and Michelin Guide honorees.

Police Department Invites Community to National Night Out

The community is invited to join the Garden Grove Police Department (GGPD) at the annual National Night Out, a free community-building event featuring family activities, giveaways, live demonstrations, and raffle prizes on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The event will take place in front of the Garden Grove Police Headquarters, located at 11301 Acacia Parkway.

Garden Grove to Participate in Upcoming Homeownership Fair Hosted by Wells Fargo

The City of Garden Grove will take part in the “Advancing Homeownership” fair, hosted by Wells Fargo, this Saturday, July 20, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at Santa Ana College, Johnson Student Center Conference Room JSC-219, located at 1530 W. 17th Street, Santa Ana, 92706. The fair will offer information and resources related to purchasing a home. Admission, parking (Lot 11), and breakfast are free.

Donate School Supplies to Local Students in Need

As the new school year approaches, the City of Garden Grove’s family resource centers invite the community to participate in the Back to School Drive, a program designed to equip local students in need with the resources to help them succeed at school. Now through Wednesday, July 31, 2024, backpacks, pencil cases, notebooks, 3-ring binders, calculators, and more can be brought to the Recreation Counter in Garden Grove City Hall, at 11222 Acacia Parkway, Buena Clinton Youth and Family Center, at 12661 Sunswept Avenue, and Magnolia Park Family Resource Center, at 11402 Magnolia Street.
