West Coast Support K9 Conference in Garden Grove
Twenty-eight Support K9s from the western United States and their handlers converged on the City of Garden Grove for a 4-day conference hosted by the Garden Grove Police Department. The Support K9 program is designed to relieve stress, support mental health and hopefully prevent problems. Guide Dogs of the Desert and the Garden Grove Unified School District helped make the event a success. GGTV3 Reporter Breanna Greenup has the story.
Freedom is Never Free
Freedom is Never Free was produced by Garden Grove TV3 to honor our United States Veterans and their families. It was created in 2013 for a special Veteran's Day event. The program highlights the service of four men: World War ll Navy Veteran Jack Norman Gutman, Marine Sergeant Robert "Buck" Rogers, who served in Korea, Army Sergeant Roy Gleason, Vietnam, and Michael Anthony Monsoor who heroically gave his life serving in Iraq.
Organics Recycling: How to Comply in Garden Grove
Separating and recycling your kitchen scraps is good for the environment. Now with California's Senate Bill 1383, communities are required to participate. Help Republic Services, the City of Garden Grove and the Earth by collecting kitchen scraps in your brown container along with the leaves and grass from your yard. Republic Services will take care of the rest. Please watch this video for more information.

We found that Raising Cane's has great chicken, but we dug deeper and also learned a little about the history of this fast food chain that is growing fast. Gente Market Opens in Garden Grove
Garden Grove's Historic Main Street welcomed a new attraction. The ribbon was cut and Gente Market opened their doors to the public. Founder Alexis Garcez says the store features items from eight different vendors and has something for everyone. The Gente Market joins a diverse group of businesses on Main Street, providing a wide variety of goods and services and an eclectic collection of food and beverage options. Garden Grove Parks Receive $1 Million
Representative Lou Correa delivered a $1 Million check to the City of Garden Grove's Community Services Department for park improvements. The funds will help the City provide improvements to three parks. The check was presented in the Jardin de los Niños Park in the Buena Clinton neighborhood in Garden Grove. Garden Grove Strong Heroes' Reception
When things get difficult, a certain group runs toward the problem trying to find out how they can help. These are the people and organizations honored at the Garden Grove Strong Hero Reception. 40 heroes were nominated for things they did during the COVID pandemic. They were brought together at the Garden Grove Community Meeting Center to review their contributions, celebrate their generosity and of course to eat and take a few photos with the Mayor and City Council. Support Canine Program in Garden Grove
Canine Support Dogs Mischa and Nellie have a big job to do for the Garden Grove Police Department. They partner with School Resource Officers Patrick Julienne and Derek Link to calm people down, deescalate situations and bring smiles to faces that were previously sad or angry. The Support Canine Program is a collaboration between the Garden Grove Police Department and the Garden Grove Unified School District. Garden Grove State of the City 2022 Address by Mayor Steve Jones
This is the Garden Grove's State of the City presentation for 2022. The event was presented by the Garden Grove Chamber of Commerce to a live audience of over 400 at the Hyatt Regency Orange County. This year’s program themed, “Mind, Body, and Spirit of Community,” focused on the City’s efforts to ensure the community’s mental, physical, and economic wellbeing, while highlighting Garden Grove’s deep hometown spirit.
