The City of Garden Grove’s free Outdoor Movie Series begins on Friday, June 14, 2024 with the showing of a 2023 fantasy comedy based on the fashion dolls by Mattel, “Barbie” (PG-13). The movie will begin at 8:30 p.m., at Eastgate Park, located at 12001 St. Mark Street.

Spaces will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Event attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets. Movie snacks and treats will be available for purchase from local food vendor, C&M Ohana.

Continuing the series is a showing of “Grease” (PG) on Friday, August 9, 2024, on Historic Main Street, from Garden Grove Boulevard to Acacia Parkway. Historic Main Street will be closed for the Friday Night Car Show, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and the movie will begin at 8:30 p.m. Historic Main Street will be accessible to pedestrians, and businesses will remain open.
