Deadline Approaching to Participate in Garden Grove’s Holiday Drive
This is the last week to participate in the City’s 2022 Garden Grove Holiday Drive, which aims to give new toys, board games, and gift cards to local children in need. Donations can be dropped off at the recreation counter, located in Garden Grove City Hall, at 11222 Acacia Parkway; Buena Clinton Youth and Family Center, located at 12661 Sunswept Avenue; and Magnolia Park Family Resource Center, located at 11402 Magnolia Street, by Friday, December 9, 2022.
Gifts can be purchased online through the Amazon holiday registry, and shipped directly to Garden Grove City Hall, at https://amzn.to/3Seipar.
The community is also encouraged to participate in the Holiday Drive Raffle to win a $200 Disney gift card. Through Friday, December 9, raffle tickets can be purchased at the Buena Clinton Youth and Family Center and Magnolia Park Family Resource Center. Raffle tickets will also be sold at the Jingle Jam holiday event, this Friday, December 9, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., at Eastgate Park, located at 12001 St. Mark Street. Tickets are $3 each; 2 for $5; or receive about two arm’s-length of tickets for $20.
One raffle ticket will be chosen and the winner will be announced online, at ggcity.org/holiday-drive, on Monday, December 12. All proceeds benefit the 2022 Garden Grove Holiday Drive.
For over 20 years, the City’s family resource centers, comprised of the Buena Clinton Youth and Family Center and Magnolia Park Family Resource Center, has worked to bring holiday cheer to local disadvantaged families. In 2021, with assistance from the community, 337 local families, and 856 children, received gifts.
The Buena Clinton Youth and Family Center and Magnolia Park Family Resource Center provide residents with low or no-cost programs focused on youth enrichment, personal empowerment, counseling, family support services, and parenting education.
