OCFA Holiday Toy Drive

OCFA is excited to participate in the Spark of Love Toy Drive again for 2023!

Toys will be collected at all 78 OCFA fire stations again this year and at OCFA headquarter located at 1 Fire Authority Road, Irvine, CA 92602. Click HERE find your closest fire station.

Garden Grove Holiday Drive

The 26th Annual Holiday Drive works to bring joy, hope, and spirit to local children and seniors in need. Through the collaboration between the Buena Clinton Youth and Family Center, Magnolia Park Family Resource Center, H. Louis Lake Senior Center, and other partnering organizations, businesses, and residents, approximately 1,000 local children and seniors have the opportunity to unwrap a gift during the holidays.

Community Meetings Continue for Organics Recycling Program

Residents living in multi-family properties, such as apartments and condominiums, are invited to attend a community meeting to learn about the state-mandated Organics Recycling program. Meetings will be held on Wednesday, November 1 at 6:00 p.m., at the Garden Grove Community Meeting Center, at 11300 Stanford Avenue, and Tuesday, November 14 at 10:00 a.m., at the Buena Clinton Youth and Family Center, at 12661 Sunswept Avenue. Both meetings will provide the same information.

City of Garden Grove Welcomes New Community Development Director

The City of Garden Grove welcomes Niki Wetzel as our new Community Development Director. A reception was held at the City's Community Meeting Center. The day was also Niki's parents' 64th Wedding Anniversary which added to the excitement. The Community Development Director is responsible for planning, building and code enforcement as well as other important areas of city administration. Multi-Family Residents Invited to Upcoming Organics Recycling Meetings, Receive Free Kitchen Pail

The Garden Grove Sanitary District, in collaboration with Republic Services, invites residents living in multi-family properties, such as apartments and condominiums, to attend a presentation on the state-mandated Organics Recycling program focused on residential food waste recycling. Meetings will be held in October and November in various locations throughout the city.
