Garden Grove's Sunswept Avenue is closed to cars and open to fun. The Buena Clinton Youth & Family Center brought in the City's mobile stage for a Dia de los Muertos event. The day is a time of remembrance for family members and friends who are no longer with us. GGTV3 reporter Britt Johnson has the story.

Winter in the Grove is pure fun! Bring the family to Village Green Park on Thursday, December 12, 2019 from 5 pm to 8 pm for this awesome free event. There will be snow, games, crafts, photo opportunities and the lighting of the big Christmas tree. Obtaining an accurate Census count is very important. The number will be used over the next 10 years to determine how much money, assistance and representation reaches each city, county and state. Beginning in March 2020, each household will receive an invitation to participate in the 2020 Census. The Orange County Fire Authority Station 81 held an Open House on Saturday, October 12, 2019. There were demonstrations and activities for children as well as a tour of the facility. Station 81 is across Acacia Parkway from Garden Grove City Hall and is the former Garden Grove Fire Department Station 1. The transition from the City to the County Fire Authority took place in August of this year. GGTV3 Reporter Britt Johnson has the story.

Meet on Beach is a 7-City Party with iconic Beach Boulevard running down the middle. The multi-city community festival will take place Sunday, November 17th with unique events happening in each of the municipalities. Garden Grove will host food trucks, lawn games and interactive exhibits. Anaheim and Buena Park will feature 1.5 miles of open streets and look for live music and a bike rodeo in Huntington Beach. This is the movie trailer for The Alliance. School Resource Officers are in Garden Grove Schools. They are there to provide an extra layer of security, help with problems and act as role models. The Garden Grove Unified School District, the City of Garden Grove and the Garden Grove Police Department have pooled resources to form The Alliance for safer schools and a safer community. Master Officer Adam Zmija, Officer Derek Link and Officer Patrick Julienne are the Garden Grove School Resource Officers, led by Sergeant Jonathan Wainwright.

The City of Garden Grove has two new singing champions. Isaac Galeano of Pacifica High School is the 2019 Voice of Garden Grove winner with Annika Chavez runner-up in the competition. The finals were held on Garden Grove's Historic Main Street during the final concert of the summer. GGTV3 Reporter Britt Johnson has the story.
