NO Illegal Fireworks in Garden Grove
The City of Garden Grove wants you and your family to have a great 4th of July, but they want you and your neighbors to be safe. If you have a fireworks celebration, use the safe and sane variety which are approved by the California State Fire Marshal and are for sale locally. Please don't use dangerous unapproved fireworks. If you do, you could receive a $1,000 fine. This mission is possible Garden Grove, have fun and be safe! Special thanks to TNT Fireworks.
National Night Out in Garden Grove
It may have looked like a party outside the Garden Grove Police Department Headquarters on Acacia Parkway and it was. National Night Out is a national event promoted by local police departments to build and reinforce relationships within the community. Garden Grove has a New Mayor and Three New Councilmembers!
Stephanie Klopfenstein is the newly elected Mayor of the City of Garden Grove. She is the first female elected Mayor in the City's history. Phillip Nguyen is sworn in as the Council Member representing District 2. It's part of his American Dream. Yesenia Muñeton wants to impact the community in a positive way from District 5 and Ariana Arestegui is ready to hit the ground running as representative of District 6. They join Councilmembers George Brietigam, Cindy Tran and Joe DoVinh.
Remembering Garden Grove Police Corporal Han Cho
Han Cho was a father, a son, a brother and a friend. He was a bright light as a Corporal on the Garden Grove Police Department. Words can't describe the loss we feel that Corporal Cho was taken from us in an off-duty motorcycle accident. A ceremony was held outside Garden Grove's Community Meeting Center where a plaque and bridge were dedicated in his memory. GGTV3 Reporter Angela Cranon was at the ceremony and shares this story.

Garden Grove Has A Beautiful New Playground!
The City of Garden Grove cut the ribbon on a beautiful new, citrus themed playground in Magnolia Park. Local kids and families scrambled to try out the new features which include an ADA accessible swing set, an orbital spinner, spiral slides and colorful play structures to climb. The renovations which include exercise equipment and a covered picnic shelter were funded with a California Proposition 68 Per Capita Grant. The remodeled recreation area has historical significance, built on property which was home to the Ernest Wakeham family.
Strawberry Festival Parade 2024 (Edited)
The Garden Grove Strawberry Festival Parade has delighted crowds for over 60 years. The colorful procession includes school marching bands, VIPs, Hollywood actors, equestrians and lots of home grown fun. Beginning on 9th Street and traveling east on Chapman Avenue, the entertaining cavalcade turns south on Euclid Street, entertaining crowds of admirers each Saturday morning of Memorial Day weekend. The parade is part of a four-day festival honoring the strawberry and contributing funds to local charities and nonprofits. This is the edited version of the live streamed event.
