I am performing a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment of Cityview Plaza, 12361-12465 Lewis St., and of Garden Grove Town Center, 11021 Brookhurst St. I am interested in the original building permits from around 1983 and 1987 for Cityview and around 1987 for Garden Grove Town Center. Any planning cases or variances or violations for these properties, and dates of initial public water and sewer services connections. I would also like any fire records of storage or spills of hazardous materials, fire responses or hazardous waste or fuel tanks at the site address.

Dear Ms. Williams:
The City of Garden Grove has received your records request dated July 1, 2015, requesting information/documents pertaining to the Cityview Plaza located at 12361-12465 Lewis Street, and the Garden Grove Town Center located at 11021 Brookhurst Street in Garden Grove. This letter shall serve as notification of the City’s intent to comply with your request for public records, pursuant to the California Public Records Act (the “Act”) (Government Code §6250 et seq.).
The City is in the process of evaluating this request and is compiling records in an effort to make a determination as to whether the request seeks copies of disclosable public records in the possession of the City of Garden Grove. However, notice is hereby given that the time limit to make this initial determination shall be extended to July 27, 2015, pursuant to Government Code §6253, for the following reasons:
(a) The extension of time is reasonable and necessary for the proper processing of the request.
(b) Responsive records, to the extent they exist, may be located in several different departments.
As noted above, the City’s written determination as to whether the request seeks copies of disclosable, non-exempt and non-privileged public records in the possession of the agency shall be sent to you on or about July 27, 2015. Pursuant to the Act, thereafter any and all disclosable, non-exempt and non-privileged public records that are deemed responsive to your request will be made promptly available to you for inspection at City Hall. Copies of responsive records will also be made available to you, upon payment of fees, in advance, covering the City’s direct duplication costs.
