Garden Grove Senior Center Lunch Cafe Temporarily Relocating During Facility Closure
The H. Louis Lake Senior Center will temporarily close from Monday, October 27, through Friday, November 7, 2025, and tentatively on Monday, November 10, through Friday, November 14, 2025 to allow for a planned roof replacement project at the Senior Center. During construction, the Lunch Café lunch service will be relocated to the Garden Grove Courtyard Center, located at 12732 Main Street, Garden Grove, CA 92840.
Cold packed lunches will be available at the Garden Grove Courtyard Center Monday through Friday, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., on a first-come, first-served basis. Hot lunches will not be served. Participants may begin signing up at 9:30 a.m. each day.
Participants may also visit alternate Lunch Café locations during the closure, including the Stanton Senior Center (7800 Katella Avenue, Stanton) and the Westminster Senior Center (8200 Westminster Boulevard, Westminster). Both offer weekday lunch service on a first-come, first-served basis from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Lunch sign-ups begin at 8:00 a.m. at the Westminster Senior Center (Monday through Friday) and 11:00 a.m. at the Stanton Senior Center (Monday through Thursday).
Taxi participants in the Senior Mobility Program can travel to any of the three Lunch Café locations for lunch at no cost during the closure. There will be no taxi service to or from the H. Louis Lake Senior Center. Participants should contact the Senior Center front desk to adjust their taxi schedules.
The roof replacement is part of the City’s ongoing efforts to maintain and improve public facilities.
