Local Teens Invited to Join Teen Action Collaborative
The City of Garden Grove invites local teens, ages 13 to 17, to join the Garden Grove Teen Action Collaborative (GGTAC), a program empowering teens to become future leaders in their community. GGTAC will meet every third Thursday of the month, beginning Thursday, September 19, 2024 through Thursday, April 17, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Meetings will be held at the Garden Grove Community Meeting Center, 11300 Stanford Avenue.
Coordinated by the Community Services Department, in collaboration with local organizations, GGTAC is an opportunity for Garden Grove teens to serve their community, gain career development skills, create new friendships, and receive college readiness guidance.
Interested teens are encouraged to attend the kick-off meeting on Thursday, September 19, 2024, to learn about the program, including goals and responsibilities, volunteer opportunities, scholarship opportunities, and more. Pizza and snacks will be provided. Parents are welcome to attend.
