UPDATE 8/21/23, 11:00 A.M.: The City's H. Louis Lake Senior Center will be closed on Monday, August 21 and Tuesday, August 22 due to flooding. From the Garden Grove Unified School District Facebook Page: We have been monitoring the weather conditions and wanted to inform you that as of now, all GGUSD schools are scheduled to be open tomorrow as planned. We will continue to monitor the weather and will inform you if there are any new developments or changes that will impact our schools. We encourage you to exercise caution and allow extra time in the morning on your way to school.

Heavy rainfall is in the forecast from Sunday, August 20, 2023 through Monday, August 21, 2023, due to the arrival of Hurricane Hilary.
The National Weather Service has issued a Tropical Storm Watch for Orange County. The City of Garden Grove is also activating its Emergency Operations Center.
Remember to take extra precautions by slowing down and turning on headlights when driving. Avoid being near storm drains and bypass flooded intersections.
