GARDEN GROVE CITY COUNCIL TO HOLD SPECIAL MEETING
The Garden Grove City Council will cancel its regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, and instead convene a special meeting focused on the City’s ongoing response to the hazardous chemical emergency affecting the community.
The special meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26, at the Garden Grove Community Center, located at 11300 Stanford Avenue, Garden Grove, CA 92840.
“We know this emergency has been frightening, stressful and disruptive for many in our community,” said Garden Grove Mayor Stephanie Klopfenstein. “The City Council wants residents, workers and business owners to know that we understand what they have been through, we are fully engaged, and we are focused on helping the community through this safely.”
The meeting will provide an opportunity for the community to receive an update on the emergency response, hear about the City’s role in supporting residents and businesses, and speak directly before the City Council.
Members of the public are encouraged to attend the special meeting and may provide comments to the City Council. The meeting can also be viewed live on ggcity.org/ggtv3-live.
Meanwhile, the Garden Grove City Hall remains open and City staff will support the community with regular business issues as it continues the crisis response.
