City Seeking Developer for Affordable Housing, Permanent Supportive Housing Projects
The City of Garden Grove is seeking qualified developers to oversee the construction of affordable housing and permanent supportive housing units in Garden Grove. Through a Request for Proposals (RFP) process, organizations experienced with developing multi-family rental units for low-income or at-risk residents are invited to submit a proposal for consideration at https://gg.city/afford-rfp by 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 11, 2024.
As part of the City’s efforts to provide permanent housing solutions to low-income individuals and families at-risk of becoming homeless, the developer will create a new or rehabilitate an existing multi-family rental property in Garden Grove, offering tenants wrap-around services, including rental assistance, referrals to legal services and behavioral and health care providers, job training, and employment opportunities.
To qualify for an interview, developers must have a minimum of five years of experience in the development and operation of affordable housing projects similar to the proposed project and provide a list of three recently-developed affordable housing projects.
