View Fatal Traffic Collision (PDF)

The Garden Grove Police and Fire Department were dispatched to a traffic collision that occurred in the area of Harbor Blvd and Flagstone Ave. involving a pedestrian and a vehicle. The pedestrian was unresponsive and transported to UCI medical center where he succumbed to his injuries as a result of the collision. The driver of the vehicle initially left the area but returned shortly after allegedly realizing he hit an unknown object.

Members of the Garden Grove Traffic Unit responded to the scene to conduct an investigation. The driver of the vehicle was evaluated and performed a field sobriety test (FST). Officers found no signs of impairment during the investigation. The investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the collision.
