SUBJECT: Failure to yield, child annoyance, No Bail Warrant
LOCATION OF OCCURRENCE: 12100 Tamerlane Dr.
DATE/TIME OF OCCURRENCE: November 16-2018 @ 1554 hrs.
SUSPECT: DAVIS, JACOB LEE - 33 years old
NARRATIVE:
Officers were dispatched to the 12100 block of Tamerlane in the City of Garden Grove reference a male suspect who was attempting to lure young girls into his vehicle. Officers located the suspect in his vehicle driving towards Harbor Blvd. On Harbor Blvd, Officers attempted a vehicle stop; however, the suspect refused to yield. The suspect failed to yield northbound Harbor Boulevard but stopped for all red traffic lights. During that time, GGPD determined the driver also had a No Bail Arrest Warrant for assaulting a Police Officer and was wanted for a domestic violence crime in Huntington Beach.
In the area of Harbor Blvd and Ball Road, a GGPD officer did a successful PIT maneuver and disabled the suspect’s vehicle. The suspect refused to exit and refused to comply with officer’s commands. After a period of time and with the assistance of Anaheim Police, a back window of the suspect’s vehicle was breached and pepper ball was deployed inside it. The suspect exited and was taken into custody. The suspect was uninjured and later booked into Orange County Jail for failure to yield, child annoyance, and the No Bail Arrest Warrant.
