NARRATIVE:
On November 17, 2018 at 02:26 AM, officers from the Garden Grove Police Department were sent to the above location reference shots heard in the area. Upon officers’ arrival, they located two male victims suffering from gunshot wounds. During the initial investigation, it was learned that the victims were shot as a result of being robbed. One of the victims was shot in the neck and the other was shot in the chest. Both victims were transported to a local hospital where they are listed in stable condition.
Shortly after, GGPD Dispatch received another call from an additional victim reporting that a male suspect armed with a rifle attempted to carjack his vehicle in the area of Harbor Boulevard and Garden Grove Boulevard. Officers responded and located a subject matching the suspect’s description nearby. The subject detained was later identified as the suspect by the victim. A rifle was found nearby and stolen property from the robbery was found on the suspect’s person.
The suspect’s personal information and photo are not being released at this time. This investigation is on-going and any witnesses with any information about the incident is asked to contact the Garden Grove Police Department, Detective Bureau at 714-741-5800.
