Nickelodeon Resort Hotel
• February 16, 2017 - Developer submitted a site plan for planning and environmental initial review.
• December 12, 2017 - Obtained approval for and agreement with Helix Environmental Planning, Inc. for the preparation and processing of California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) compliance documents.
• Developer held multitude of meetings with Viacom with the purposes of securing a hotel brand. Over the last 3 year, the Developer and Viacom have been working on creating new brand standards for a resort. In July 2019, the Developer and Viacom determined their plans were not viable and decided not to proceed.
• Developer notified SA they would pursue another franchisee and move forward with implementation of the DDA.
• SA is working with the assistance of legal counsel to clear title on the property, including utility easements and a street vacation. This process will take 1-2 years. Anticipated completion August 2021.
• Per Section 205.1 of the DDA, Developer must secure a franchise. Anticipated completion August 2020.
• Per Section 205.1 of the DDA, Developer must obtain approval & recordation of a Final Tract Map. Anticipated completion September 2020.
