Dear Sir/Madam:

The Center for Contract Compliance is a nonprofit Labor Management Trust that specializes in monitoring public works projects. We are currently monitoring the above-mentioned project and we would like to establish if a Notice of Completion has been filed.

Pursuant to the California Public Records Act, Government Code Section 6250, et. seq., please provide any or all documents that would establish a formal Notice of Completion:

Copy of the Notice of Completion, but if recorded, a copy of the recorded notice of completion; and
Copy of any document showing when the project was accepted, if any. Acceptance typically occurs when someone with authority to accept the project does accept unconditionally and completely, e.g., it could be by council action, internal memos, e-mails or letters to the contractor, etc.
