EBI Consulting (EBI) is conducting a Property Condition Report at the above-referenced Subject Property. As part of the PCR process, we would like to request access to records regarding the following, as applicable:
- Current and historical building permits
- Current and historical Certificates of Occupancy
- Date of construction
- Any open building violations on file
- Date of last building and fire inspections
- Any open zoning violations on file
- Current zoning of the property and any variances on file

We understand that these records may not be available. Please complete the applicable area below regarding record availability and return to our attention either via email or via fax. If these records are available, EBI field personnel will be stopping by to review these records in the next several days. Re: Request for Public Records – Notice of Extension
City of Garden Grove

Dear Ms. Gross:

The City of Garden Grove has received your records request dated July 20, 2017, requesting information on the property located at 10871 Forbes Avenue in Garden Grove. This letter shall serve as notification of the City’s intent to comply with your request for public records, pursuant to the California Public Records Act (the “Act”) (Government Code §6250 et seq.).

The City is in the process of evaluating this request and is compiling records in an effort to make a determination as to whether the request seeks copies of disclosable public records in the possession of the City of Garden Grove. However, notice is hereby given that the time limit to make this initial determination under the code shall be extended by fourteen (14) days to Monday, August 14, 2017, pursuant to Government Code §6253, for the following reasons:

(a) The extension of time is reasonable and necessary for the proper processing of the request.

(b) Responsive records, to the extent they exist, may be located in several different departments.

As noted above, the City’s written determination as to whether the request seeks copies of disclosable, non-exempt and non-privileged public records in the possession of the agency shall be sent to you on or about August 14, 2017. Pursuant to the Act, thereafter any and all disclosable, non-exempt and non-privileged public records that are deemed responsive to your request will be made promptly available to you.
