Dear City Clerk,
My name is Cynthia Marquez and I work with the Kennedy Commission, a non-profit organization dedicated to increasing the production of affordable housing in Orange County. As part of my work on the city's housing elements I am seeking information regarding the City of Garden Grove's site inventory from their housing element.
I have already checked the City's Housing Element but could not find the information I need. I am wondering if you can point me in the right direction to the person who can provide me with an excel sheet of an updated list of sites to be rezoned from the city's housing element, please? If there are any procedures I need to do for requesting this information, I would appreciate your assistance in outlining them.

Hello,
In 2021, in conjunction with the adoption of the 2021-2029 Housing Element (along with the adoption of updates to the Safety Element, Land Use Element, and adoption of a new Environmental Justice Element), the City of Garden Grove concurrently rezoned properties, created a new residential/housing overlay zone, and increased maximum residential densities for certain zones. In 2023, the City rezoned additional properties, updated the General Plan Land Use designation of certain properties, and extended the residential/housing overlay zone to certain properties to ensure consistency and implementation of updates to the Housing Element and Land Use Element.
Therefore, there is no list of sites that still need to be rezoned.
Attached for reference are copies of Ordinance No. 2925, Ordinance No. 2943, and Resolution No. 9825-23.
