Building records? I am the manager of Rancho Monterey Apartments 13212 Magnolia Street, Garden Grove, 92844 714-537-8500. There is a cinder block fence that separates our property from Park Grove Apartments 9155 Central and it runs along our whole property separating our driveways. I need to know who owns the fence because they took down the barbed wire running along it and they are not gated. We are gated but ever since they took it down we have been getting vandalized and in reviewing the security cameras 9 times out of 10 they are jumping that fence to get in and out of our property. The owner of this property has owned it over 40 years but doesn't and doesn't remember. How can we tell whose fence it is? Thank you for your help Vicki Johnson 714-537-8500

The City of Garden Grove does not have responsive documents to your request. The property lines are noted in a couple different locations, including in the legal description for the lot, which would be on your property deed, and on a plat map, which is typically available through Orange County assessor's office. Or you can hire a surveyor who specializes in making precise measurements to locate the legal boundaries of a plot of land and any improvements to the property.
